Churning Out Industry-Worthy Engineering Graduates-Aditya Engineering College

0

One of the most common criticisms that we get to hear now-a-days is that the young engineer graduates are not up to the mark, when it comes to meeting industry standards. Established in 2011, Aditya Engineering College (AEC) battles this scenario via a 3-step success protocol:

AEC’s Campus Recruitment Training (CRT)

Chairman-N. Sesha Reddy

An exclusive AEC’s CRT team of 30 faculty works on the thrust areas like Reasoning, Aptitude, Soft skills, Technical Skills etc., which are not a part of the curriculum.  Campus Recruitment training has been made an integral part of the syllabus from the first year of the course.  The primary motto of this program is to find a right job at the right time i.e., before the course completion to every student.  At AEC, it is a culture to develop students towards industry acceptance, so there is a constant raise in the number of companies visiting campus and conducting campus recruitment every year.

“CO-CUBES” & “AMCAT” – AS ASSESSMENT PARTNERS

Vice Chairman-N. Satish Reddy

AEC have entered MOUS with Co-Cubes and AMCAT as its CRT assessment partners.  They assess each and every student capabilities in Analytical Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude and Soft Skills etc. to face the campus recruitments confidently.  A student goes almost 50 assessments in 7 semesters followed by two typical pre-assessments.  With these periodical assessments and guidance by the assessment partners, students can gain natural confidence to face the campus drives.

T-Shaped – Engineering Program

The present software industry is in need of graduates who have the technical skills, creativity, innovative ideas, talents, accept the challenges etc. beyond the theoretical knowledge to avoid incurring the huge cost and time to train the newly selected employees.  To provide the above qualities/skills to the students and to build the technology specialists like Java Developers, Mobile App Developers, Cloud etc., during the course of study, AEC launched T-SHAPED – Engineering Program.  This program is designed, developed, and managed by IT experts who worked in IBM, WIPRO for more than 10 years.  This is an integrated program with the academics for four years of engineering.  The program invites experienced and qualified industrial persons from CMM level 5 software industries to offer the special training to the students to fulfill the immediate needs of the employers.

Aditya Engineering College, under the aegis of Aditya Academy, Kakinada, has set up a well-facilitated eco-friendly campus that houses Bank, ATMs, refreshment stalls, canteens, solar power, battery vehicles, etc, in addition to separate hostels for boys and girls. By considering the criteria of general academic interests of all the departments and their functioning, keeping in view the objectives of Institution, the institution has designed syllabi for various courses. AEC has ensured that all students are equipped with opportunities to integrate and participate in work-based learning and academic learning, by introducing a living-learning model that features a more supportive academic atmosphere.

The Research and Development Wing

AEC regards Research with utmost importance, and the institute has established a separate set of directors to work on the R&D wing. AEC offers ample incentives for the faculty who publish papers in the National/International journals and for presenting papers in National/International conferences. Moreover, the Faculty, apart from the students, at AEC is constantly encouraged to attend workshops/faculty development programs by sponsoring their registration fee and TA & DA.  “Paid leave are given to the research scholars, and our laboratories are well-endowed to meet the needs of our research scholars.  Similarly, we omit Saturday classes for them, so that they can spend more time on their research activities,” says N. Satish Reddy, Vice-Chairman, Aditya Engineering College.

AEC has also entered into fruitful MoUs with foreign universities like University of IOWA, USA, International Technological University, USA, Swansea Metropolitan, UK, and Thomson Reverse University, Canada. These MoUs has helped AEC to provide its students and faculty with global exposure by enhancement of research and new teaching methodologies.

In addition to the campus recruitment trainings, Pre placement training is also offered to each and every eligible student by the recruiters before conducting their placement drive at college campus.   Some of the major recruiters are CYIENT, BSCPL, Samsung, Capgemeni, CGI, Think and Learn, Osmosys, Technovert, JMC Projects, Amazon, Genpact, Calibar Technologies etc.

The Aditya GBI Centre

Sheltering and guiding young entrepreneurs through Aditya Global Incubation Centre (GBI), the following are some of the highlights of the Aditya GBI Centre:

  • Department of Science and Technology under Technology Development Board has sanctioned Rs.100 lakhs per annum for development of incubation centre at Aditya Engineering College for a period of 5 years.
  • Sri Y. Sujana Chowdary, the then Hon’ble Minister of State, Science and Technology & Earth Sciences, Govt. of India has laid foundation stone for Aditya Global Incubation centre on 28-12-2015.
  • Some of the successful student’s start-ups: GET MY TAILOR, GET MY BOOKS, HIGHER PAPPY, GLOSY TREDS etc.

AEC has reveled in the accolades and awards that the students have won. From Gold Medals in 2012 & 2013 , 8 Pratibha Awards in UG level, to 7 Pratibha awards in PG level of Govt., of AP in 2015, Aditya Engineering College aims to achieve deemed university status shortly.
