Addressing the growing concern over the employability of engineering graduates in India, the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) unveiled a series of initiatives on Engineers’ Day (September 15) to enhance students’ industry readiness. Dr. Vineet Joshi, Secretary of Higher Education, Government of India, introduced Project PRACTICE (Project for Advancing Critical Thinking, Industry Connect and Employability), the AICTE Research Internship (ARI) Portal, along with a mandate for setting up R&D Cells and Climate Cells across all AICTE-approved institutions.
