All Maharashtra universities to conduct offline exams from June 1


Students of Maharashtra universities and colleges have been constantly demanding online or hybid exams but as per the latest news, the universities in the state are reasy to conduct offline exams. However, instead of holding the exams in May, they will begin from June 1, informed Maharashtra Technical and Higher Education Minister Uday Samant.

The state government made the announcement of the delayed exams in offline mode after consulting the vice chancellors of several universities in Maharashtra who were of the opinion that the best option now was conducting offline exams.


The college and university exams in Maharastra will be held from June 1 to July 15. It is also expecred that there will be a gap of two days between all the papers.

The offline exams will have students writing proper theory answers.


College and university students in the state had taken to social media for a while requesting for the summer exams to be held offline. Certain Mumbai University colleges had even started off exams in hybrid mode.

Nagpur University had also announced that it would be holding exams online with an option of appearing offline as well. With Uday Samant’s announcement, it is not known yet whether Nagpur University will be changing its decision.

Maharashtra college and university students are advised to stay in touch with their institute officials and keep checking the official college websites for more exam updates.
