On Monday, the Union Education Ministry released recommendations for introducing bag-free days for grades 6 through 8, as well as for improving the joy, experience, and stress-free nature of classroom instruction.
On the fourth anniversary of the new National Education Policy (NEP), 2020, the guidelines were announced. They were created by PSS Central Institute of Vocational Education, a division of the National Council for Educational Research and Training (NCERT).
It was suggested by the NEP, 2020 that all students in grades 6–8 take part in a 10-day bag-free period.
