BLISS International School

In a world where knowledge, jobs, and ideas cross borders instantly, students need an edge that is both global and enduring, not just exam-deep. The International Baccalaureate was built precisely for this, prioritizing inquiry over recall, research over rote, and intercultural competence alongside academic rigor, which together translate into stronger university readiness and worldwide recognition for learners. Schools often cite these ideals; far fewer implement them with fidelity. BLISS International School (BIS) is one of those incredible exceptions.By embedding inquiry-led pedagogy, values-driven education, multilingual exposure, and a strong commitment to its core values—Respect, Integrity, Wisdom, Empathy, and Positivity—into everyday practice, not just policy, BLISS cultivates focused, independent thinkers who collaborate, create, and care. This holistic approach forms the foundation of BIS, which is built upon five strategic pillars aimed at advancing academic excellence, promoting sustainability, community engagement and empowering every student to thrive. For its wholehearted adoption of the IB philosophy and its thoughtful adaptation to the Indian context—creating evolving classrooms where learning remains both challenging and joyful—it is an honour to feature BLISS International School among India’s Top 10 IB Schools of 2025.

 A foundation for Lifelong Learning

Founded in 2018 by the Budhrani Knowledge Foundation, BLISS International School is strategically located in Hinjewadi’s Rajiv Gandhi Infotech Park—Pune’s fast-growing tech corridor—designed to serve a diverse and rapidly expanding global community. From its inception, the school has embraced an international outlook, reflected not only in its IB continuum but also in its vibrant student body, which includes learners from the USA, UK, France, Japan, Korea, and Dubai. BLISS continues to foster a culturally rich and inclusive environment, preparing students to thrive as global citizens in an interconnected world.

Authorized as an IB World School, BIS has aligned its continuum seamlessly from PYP through MYP to DP, where inquiry, research, and community service anchor the learning experience. BLISS International School’s MYP programme has demonstrated outstanding outcomes, particularly in e-Assessments and Personal Projects. With a 100% pass rate and performance well above the IB world average, students have excelled in these globally recognised assessments. Their remarkable achievements reflect the school’s strong academic rigour, student-centred approach, and commitment to developing independent, reflective, and globally competent learners.

Vertical curriculum alignment, interdisciplinary projects, multi-age classrooms, and initiatives like the student-run BIS Brigade, alongside coordinated professional learning, ensure smooth transitions across programmes. These efforts keep inquiry and student agency at the heart of every learner’s journey. Additionally, Peg Parents actively contribute their opinions and videos, fostering a collaborative school community.
