Dr. Fr. Lijo Thomas – Director
Dr. Fr. Lijo Thomas has charted a diverse and enriching professional journey since 2005, spanning various roles and locations. His path commenced as an Associate Pastor at Sacred Heart Parish in Changanacherry, Kerala, India, during 2005-2006. Following this, he assumed the responsibilities of a Teacher and School Counselor at Kristu Jyoti Higher Secondary School in Changanacherry, Kerala, from 2005 to 2009. Driven by a passion for professional development training, he delved into the field, offering invaluable insights and guidance to schools and colleges across Kerala, India, until 2010.
In 2009, a shift led him to the role of Teacher and Administrator at Jawahar Public Senior Secondary School in Varkala, Kerala, where he showcased his dedication until 2012. Inspired by this experience, he sought higher education and research opportunities, serving as a Researcher at the University of Louisiana, Monroe, LA, USA, from 2014 to 2017. Concurrently, he extended his expertise as an Adjunct Professor at the same university between 2015 and 2017.
In 2017, Dr. Fr. Lijo Thomas joined Christ University in Bangalore, India, as an Associate Professor in the School of Social Sciences, a role he continues to hold. He has concurrently assumed multiple leadership positions within the university, including Director of the Office of International Affairs, Student Welfare Office, and the Center for Academic and Professional Support, all commencing in 2017. Furthermore, he took the helm as the Director of the Department of Performing Arts, Music, and Theater at Christ University in the same year.
