Holidays for Punjab Schools from May 21 to June 30

The Punjab government has declared summer breaks for all government, private, aided, and recognized schools from May 21 to June 30 due to the extreme heat wave conditions in the province.

The department of school education has issued an order to this effect.

The department decided to maintain the schools open from 7 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Saturday. But now, it has made the decision to announce early summer vacations.

There are heat waves occurring in a number of the state’s districts. With a high temperature of 46.4°C on Sunday, Bathinda had the highest temperature.
