The ICSE board exams 2020 were scheduled to be held from July 1 to July 12. But thanks to the rising Covid-19 cases, carrying out the exams were becoming a rather dangerous idea which would put the safety of students, teachers, and even parents at risk.
Thus, the board took a decision on June 15 decision to allow class 10 and class 12 students to appear for the ICSE board exam in an optional manner.
ICSE had said at the time that affiliated schools will need to contact all class 10 and 12 students and make a note of whether they wanted to appear for the optional exams or have their results declared.
And thereby, ICSE has informed the Supreme court that exams for 10th standard will be conducted, but will be optional. While also saying that the results would be out by mid-July, the details of the formula to calculate the results will be up on the website in a week.
