Karnataka Education Minister, S Suresh Kumar has stated that Karnataka SSLC Exam 2020 would be conducted from June 25 to July 4. Also, the pending Karnataka PUC Exam 2020 of English would be conducted on June 18. The dates were announced after the high level meeting of the Government. The lockdown in the state has also been extended.
Speaking on the same, he said, “It has been decided to conduct the SSLC examination from June 25 to July 4 in which 8,48,196 students will appear across the state.” As regards the special provisions regarding examinations, the minister informed that the government is hiring more buildings for examination centres. The minister has informed the reporters that the government would be using 43,720 rooms in 2,879 buildings across the state to conduct the SSLC exam. This puts just about 20 students in a classroom, which would be in accordance with the norms of social distancing. Also, all the students would have to wear a mask compulsorily during the examination.
“The Bharat Scouts and Guides volunteers are getting ready to supply masks to the students,” the Minister said. Also, the Scouts and Guides, the Ramakrishna Mission would also be supplying about two lakh masks in Bengaluru South region and Ramanagara district.
The government was expected to take a call on holding the Secondary Level School Certificate SSLC, class 10 exams in the state after the meeting with the education department, as informed by the Education minister of the state on Saturday. The exam dates have now been announced. Detailed date sheet, however, would be released later on the official website kseeb.kar.nic.in.
In addition to the announcement, the education minister also stated that he that the state government will come out with a timetable on Monday, May 18, 2020.
