Mangalore University (MU) will host a one day conference on the theme ‘Strategies for the betterment of higher education and governance of universities’ on Monday.
PS Yadapadithaya, Vice Chancellor, MU told reporters on Saturday that the conference is held in association with the Forum of Former Vice-Chancellors of Karnataka State Universities (FVCK), Bengaluru. This conference will deliberate on the challenges, opportunities and options available to the universities, to raise the quality and reach of the education in the backdrop of the National Education Policy of India 2020 (NEP 2020), which seeks to transform aspects related to the education system.
The conference will be attended by the former vice chancellors, faculties of the university, the principals and Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) coordinators of the colleges affiliated with the Mangalore University and members of university bodies.
The conference will be inaugurated by Dr Vinod Bhat, former vice-chancellor of Manipal Academy of Higher Education. Notable experts in the field including present and former vice-chancellors will engage in the technical session and will participate in the panel discussion.
