NEET UG 2025 Counselling Gets Extended

The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has updated the schedule for Round 1 of NEET UG 2025 counselling after receiving requests from candidates. The registration deadline has now been extended to July 31, giving aspirants extra time to apply. As per the new timeline, Round 1 seat allotment results will be declared on August 3, moving from the earlier date of July 31.

Candidates interested in NEET UG counselling can view the revised schedule and register through the official MCC website, mcc.nic.in.

MCC had previously asked those applying for the Non-Resident Indian (NRI) quota to upload their necessary documents by July 26. The choice-filling process was temporarily halted to fix issues of incomplete data and seat duplication in the NEET UG 2025 seat matrix.

This counselling round includes 15% of All India Quota seats in medical and dental colleges. In addition, 17 AIIMS will together offer about 2,000 MBBS seats and 507 BSc nursing seats across nine campuses, along with nearly 14,000 seats in deemed universities. The window for filling in and locking choices has also been extended until July 31, 2025, allowing candidates to lock their preferences between 4 pm and 11:55 pm on the final day.

Aspiring candidates are encouraged to check the official website for details and make use of the extended deadlines.
