According to a letter released on July 29, the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has stated that counseling for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test Undergraduate (NEET-UG) 2024 would begin on August 14. The National Medical Commission (NMC) Secretary, Dr. B Srinivas, announced that the registration procedure for counseling is anticipated to begin the first week of August.

Approximately 1.10 lakh MBBS seats will be distributed through the counselling process among 710 medical institutions across the country. In addition, the counselling will cover 21,000 BDS seats in addition to Ayush and nursing seats, according to Dr. Srinivas.
