Rajasthan Schools likely to reopen from November 2 for Classes 10 to 12

The Rajasthan state government might reopen the schools in the state for students of classes 10 to 12 from November 2, 2020, as per the recent statements by officials. The government has taken this decision nearly 8 months after all the educational institutes had been shut down.

Many state governments have taken the decision to resume classes in the schools after the Ministry of Home Affairs released the guidelines of Unlock 5. This prompted the Rajasthan government to also make a decision regarding the reopening of schools.

The reopening of schools in Rajasthan for senior classes will be the first phase of reopening the educational institutes. The classes will most likely resume from November 2 for students of class 10, 11, and 12.

The Education Minister of Rajasthan, Govind Singh Dotasara, talked about how a detailed set of SOPs has been drafted by the education department for the reopening of schools this year. He also stated that zero academic year was not an option for the state government.

Other important guidelines such as usage of washrooms, washing hands, using their own pens, books, and notebooks, eating home-cooked meals, drinking water in their own bottles, etc. have also been mentioned in the SOPs issued by the Rajasthan government.
