Schools in Lakshadweep will move from Malayalam to CBSE English Medium

The Lakshadweep administration has unveiled a significant change in its education system, opting to convert all schools under the Department of Education in the union territory from Malayalam to the CBSE English medium.

On December 12, the Director of Education in the union territory issued an official order to this effect.

The order stated, “In a bid to enhance educational standards and adapt to the evolving educational environment, the Department of Education in the union territory of Lakshadweep has decided to shift SCERT Kerala Malayalam medium classes to CBSE English medium.”
