SSBF prides on an extremely strong alumni base which includes alumni like Mr. Hardik Mehta who is serving as a Manager in Reserve Bank of India and Mr. Bhargav Diwanji who has joined as an Associate Vice President- Analytics, Consulting, and Strategy at Autoninja, just to name a few. Some of the students of SSBF even went on to venture into entrepreneurship, establishing their businesses. Presently, SSBF conducts a full time, two year residential MBA program in Banking and Finance, enrolling students from around the country and encompassing state-of-the-art facilities inside the campus.

The students of SSBF are not confined inside the classroom only, rather the faculty members and the management strives to make the learning process a fun one. The learning journey at SSBF consists of dedicated in-house training, internships, research indulgence, co-curricular activities, going through student exchange programs and many more. Dr. Ketkar elaborates, “Targeting to widening the learning and earning horizon of our students, we sent them for semester exchange / Winter and Summer school programs international universities like Berlin School of Economics and Law, Germany, Macquarie University, just to name a few.” On the other hand, the faculty members of SSBF make it a point to turn the classroom environment as interactive and participative as possible, where a free flow of ideas between faculty and students happens. The teaching pedagogies adopted involve role-plays, case studies, fieldwork, and scenario analysis.
Going beyond this, the students are motivated to take up live projects, dissertation, statistical lab activities, problem-solving exercises and participate in competitions. Guest lectures by international faculty and industry experts are arranged to broaden perspectives of students. “The usage of online resources is an integral part of the SSBF curriculum. Moreover, the focus of mentoring at SSBF is on psychological support, advancement in the academic career and professional development of the mentee. Dr. Manisha Ketkar is serving as the Director at SSBF, Pune. She has done her Master’s in Business Studies (MBS) from the University of Pune, and her Ph.D. from Symbiosis International (Deemed University). She has an extensive 29 years of experience and has handled the operations of a business unit of a pharmaceutical multinational for over 16 years before her passion for teaching made her join Symbiosis in 2006. Her areas of expertise are Cost & Management Accounting and Supply Chain Management.
