Professor Anuradha steps into the role following Professor BJ Rao, who completed his term on March 12 after reaching the mandatory retirement age of 70. As the university’s most senior professor, her appointment aligns with the institution’s statutory guidelines for leadership succession.
A Distinguished Career in Arts and Academia
With over 30 years of experience, Professor Anuradha is a veteran academic and a highly regarded Kuchipudi dancer. Her leadership at UoH has been extensive, previously serving in key administrative positions, including:
- Dean of the Sarojini Naidu School of Arts and Communication.
- Head of the Department of Dance.
Her appointment brings a wealth of institutional knowledge and cultural expertise to the Vice-Chancellor’s office during this transition period.
