Amidst this landscape, the Faculty of Engineering, Management & Technology (BGS Institute of Technology), a proud constituent of Adichunchanagiri University, stands out as a distinguished institution that consistently delivers excellence in all facets of engineering education. Established in 2005 in BG Nagar, Mandya District, BGSIT was founded with a clear vision—to provide top-notch technical education while fostering holistic student development.

Approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), recognized by the Government of Karnataka, and initially affiliated with Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), BGSIT today functions under the banner of Adichunchanagiri University. The institute is known for its strong academic foundation, cutting-edge research initiatives, and robust industry collaborations. BGS Institute of Technology (BGSIT), under the Faculty of Engineering, Management & Technology at Adichunchanagiri University, offers a wide array of undergraduate and postgraduate programs that reflect both academic rigor and industry relevance. At the undergraduate level, BGSIT provides Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) degrees in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science & Engineering, Information Science & Engineering, Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning, Robotics & Artificial Intelligence and Electronics & Communication Engineering. At the postgraduate level, the institute offers M.Tech programs in Computer Science & Engineering, VLSI Design and Embedded Systems, Structural Engineering, Nano Technology and Infrastructure Management. Complementing its technical offerings, BGSIT also delivers a comprehensive two-year Master of Business Administration (MBA) program focused on building leadership, strategic thinking, and business acumen.

To keep its curriculum in sync with evolving industry needs and technological innovations, BGSIT adopts a dynamic and responsive academic framework. Spread across 12.19 acres of serene greenery, the campus offers a pollution-free environment conducive to focused learning. The academic infrastructure at BGSIT reflects its commitment to quality education and technological advancement. The campus features a built-up area of 33,898.85 sqm, including modern classrooms equipped with latest ICT tools.

The institute boasts 51 well-equipped laboratories supporting various engineering disciplines, alongside 1,415 high-end computers running industry-grade software like Solid Edge, AutoCAD, ANSYS, and MATLAB. A high-speed Wi-Fi network with over 500 Mbps bandwidth ensures uninterrupted access to digital resources.

To support its diverse student population, BGSIT offers well-furnished residential facilities with three hostel blocks housing 698 students in single, twin, or triple-sharing rooms. The hostels are equipped with Wi-Fi, CCTV surveillance, and 24/7 security, along with recreational amenities like a 400-meter athletic track, table tennis, chess, carrom, yoga, and a multigym. Inclusive infrastructure such as lift, ramps and railings ensures accessibility for differently-abled individuals.

Sustainability is a core pillar at BGSIT, reflected in its eco-conscious campus design. Landscaped gardens, battery-operated vehicles, bicycles, and campus-wide CFL/LED lighting promote energy efficiency. Rainwater harvesting, a 200 kW solar power plant, a 300 kg biogas unit, and a 750 KLD sewage treatment plant underscore the institute’s dedication to renewable energy and water management.

Every year more than 60 reputed companies visiting our college such as TCS, Wipro, Tech Mahindra, NTT Data, Accenture, Mindtree, HCL, Infosys, Cognizant, L&T Infotech, Mphasis, Sasken, Brigade Group, and San Engineering and so on.

Training has been introduce from 1st semester these alliances are designed to bridge the gap between academic and industry expectations, equipping students with real-world skills and making them industry-ready.

The institute’s placement cell plays an instrumental role in facilitating these opportunities, ensuring consistent engagement with top-tier recruiters across various domains.

As a result, BGSIT has observed a positive upward trend in student placements in recent years. Graduates have secured positions in both IT services and core engineering sectors, with the highest package reaching an impressive 7.5 LPA—an indicator of the institute’s commitment to academic excellence and professional preparedness.
