Emerging preschools in India are leading a transformative shift in early childhood education, blending cutting-edge techniques with a holistic approach. By emphasizing experiential learning, these institutions are reshaping traditional methods, creating vibrant environments that allow young minds to flourish through creativity, exploration, and hands-on experiences. This dynamic approach not only nurtures knowledge but also shapes children into well-rounded individuals. Leading this revolution is Hello Kids, a trailblazer in early education. Committed to fostering independence and effective communication, Hello Kids has revolutionized the preschool landscape, ensuring that quality education is accessible in both urban and rural areas.
With its award-winning curriculum, Hello Kids integrates global best practices, focusing on learning through play to create a fun, engaging atmosphere. It’s not just a preschool—some call it a “Fun-School,” where learning is an exciting adventure. Designed to resemble a children’s paradise rather than a conventional preschool, Hello Kids has earned its place among the Top 10 Preschools in Bangalore for 2025, consistently recognized for excellence year after year.
From the Scratch
As India’s first “No-Royalty” preschool chain, Hello Kids was founded by Dr. Pritam Kumar Agrawal, who envisioned a preschool network that combined knowledge with possibility. Under his leadership, Hello Kids Education India Private Limited was established, with a focus on providing quality education to children aged 1.5 to 6 years across 25 states.
Recognized as the first pre-primary school in India to cater specifically to the middle-income group, Hello Kids has grown into a nationwide network with various branches spread across more than 22 states and even abroad. With a balanced student-to-teacher ratio of 10:1, the school ensures personalized attention through its team of professional educators. Offering a diverse curriculum that includes the Montessori and Playway methods, Hello Kids provides distinct programs for Nursery, Playgroup, Lower Kindergarten (LKG), and Upper Kindergarten (UKG) classes. With affiliations to esteemed institutions like the American Montessori Society and Early Education UK, Hello Kids collaborates to develop progressive teaching methodologies.
The emphasis of the curriculum is on experiential learning through events, games, and activities. Additionally, Hello Kids offers services like yoga, computer basics, regular health check-ups with licensed medical practitioners, and stage activities.
A Nurturing and Engaging Learning Experience
Parents of Hello Kids students consistently praise the preschool for providing a nurturing and enriching environment. One parent shared how their daughter has had an amazing experience at the Hello Kids Nursery, steadily improving her reading and writing skills while having lots of fun. The approachable and caring teachers, who maintain strong communication with parents, have earned deep appreciation. The child also enjoys a positive and happy atmosphere, with the school’s focus on creating a caring environment, even encouraging children to finish their lunch. Parents are delighted to see their children engaged in exciting activities, such as exploring the snow and interacting with firefighters, making their time at Hello Kids an unforgettable experience.
Building a Legacy
Pritam Kumar Agrawal, the Founder & Director of Hello Kids, began his journey in early childhood education with the launch of the first Hello Kids Preschool Centre in Bangalore in 2005. With a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Delhi University and an MBA from the Indian Institute of Planning & Management, New Delhi, Pritam brought a blend of business acumen and educational vision to the preschool sector. Along with his wife, Sunita Jain, who serves as the CEO of Hello Kids, Pritam has built an institution known for its strong commitment to excellence.
Sunita Jain, also deeply involved in the strategic direction and day-to-day operations of Hello Kids, shares the same passion for educational excellence. Together, they have worked tirelessly to expand the brand and refine its approach to early childhood education, ensuring a balanced, holistic development for young learners.
Looking ahead, Pritam and Sunita are dedicated to advancing their expansion strategy. With over 1,000 centres currently operating and serving 30,000 students, the chain plans to expand to 2,000+ centres by December 2030. This growth reflects their strong commitment to transforming early childhood education in India and beyond. Their vision is to drive innovation, empower educators, and ensure every child receives an engaging and enriching learning experience.
