As the Fall semester begins across American universities, the number of Indian students traveling to the United States in August has dropped to its lowest level since the Covid pandemic in 2020. Data from the International Trade Administration, a US Department of Commerce agency tracking international arrivals, shows that 41,540 Indians entered the country on student visas (F and M categories) this August, marking a sharp 44% decline compared to the same month last year.
