As part of its attempts to control record migration levels that have fueled an increase in the cost of homes, Australia has placed a restriction on the number of overseas students it would accept for enrollment beginning in 2025 at 270,000.
This decision is the culmination of several steps taken since last year to remove concessions granted to foreign workers and students in Australia during the Covid period.
In the past, these incentives assisted companies in hiring domestic workers while stringent border restrictions kept foreign laborers out of the nation.
