Dr. Manali Kshirsagar has officially assumed charge as the first full-time woman Vice-Chancellor of Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj (RTM) Nagpur University, marking a historic moment for the 102-year-old institution. She succeeded Dr. Madhavi Chavare, who was serving as the acting Vice-Chancellor.
Soon after taking charge, Dr. Kshirsagar outlined her vision for the university, emphasizing the launch of technology-driven and industry-relevant courses aimed at enhancing students’ employability. She stated that introducing innovative, skill-oriented programs aligned with industry needs would be a key priority.
Highlighting administrative efficiency, the new Vice-Chancellor announced plans to review and streamline existing processes within the university. She also underscored her commitment to improving the institution’s standing in national and international rankings, noting that the university has applied for the QS World Rankings while continuing efforts to climb higher in the NIRF framework.
