Yale University Eliminates Tuition for Families Earning Under $100K

Yale University is waiving tuition and all other costs for incoming undergraduates from families earning less than $100,000 annually. This move aligns with a trend among elite U.S. campuses reducing financial barriers for middle- and lower-income households.

The Ivy League institution revealed the policy update on Tuesday, effective for students starting this fall. Previously, Yale covered full costs for families below $75,000. The new $100,000 threshold now makes nearly half of U.S. households with children aged 6-17 eligible.
