Established in 1990 by Mysore Makkala Koota with just 13 BSc (PEM) students in a rented building, the college was handed over to SDME Society in 1992 under Padma Vibhushan Dr. D. Veerendra Heggade’s presidency, expanding to serve 1,046 students across five programs. Nestled on Jhansi Lakshmi Bai Road, its three-storey campus spread on a 2.22 acre campus fosters a serene, inclusive environment dedicated to women’s empowerment amid global challenges, blending ethical values with modern education. Consistently above 95-96% university results (100% in MCom & BCA streams), it stands out through 27 functional committees, add-on courses, and a holistic approach.
Placement Excellence and Industry Connect
The college recorded impressive placements last year in top firms like TCS, Accenture, Capgemini, Wipro, LNT Infotech, and Health Coders (up to ₹13 lakhs p.a. for roles in data analysis, system management, coding). Career Guidance and Placement Cells deliver personality development (first-year), skill training (second-year: 30-hour aptitude/ logic/communication/resume programs), and study-abroad seminars.
