Following the release of the Class 12 board results for the 2025–2026 academic session, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has officially released the schedule for the supplementary examinations.
Key Exam Dates and Statistics
- Exam Date: The supplementary exams will be conducted in a single day on July 15, 2026.
- Compartment Candidates: This year, 1,63,800 students have been placed in the compartment category. This marks a notable increase from previous years, which saw 1,29,095 students in 2025 and 1,22,170 students in 2024.
- Performance Improvement: The board has specified that students who cleared their exams but want to upgrade their scores in a single subject are also eligible to appear for these supplementary tests.
Re-evaluation and Registration Process
In a recent notice addressing student dissatisfaction regarding grading, CBSE stated, “OSM [On-Screen Marking] is not at fault,” and urged students to formally apply for re-evaluation if they feel their results are inaccurate.
For those moving forward with the supplementary exams, the online submission for the List of Candidates (LOC) will open on June 2, 2026.
Important Note: CBSE has strictly emphasized that the LOC process is entirely online. Once the final submission is made, no modifications—including adding or deleting student names and subjects—will be allowed.
