IIT Madras is anticipated to announce a new timeline for the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2027 registration process shortly. Applications were initially set to open on August 27, but the institute pushed back this date without providing an alternative schedule. According to the official GATE 2027 website, gate2027.iitm.ac.in, the registration window is expected to launch “soon.”
This marks the second occasion on which IIT Madras has postponed the start of registrations, and the institute has not disclosed reasons behind either delay. Registration was originally slated to begin on August 14, then rescheduled to August 27, and has now been pushed back with no confirmed date in sight.
