The Board of Secondary Education, Rajasthan (RBSE) will hold the Class 10 board examination twice a year starting from the 2026-27 academic session. The two-exam system will replace the current supplementary examination.
According to an official order from the board, the main examination will take place in February–March, and a second, remedial examination will follow in May.
Students who score below the 33 per cent pass mark in up to two subjects in the main examination can take the second examination under the essential improvement (EI) category. Students who missed one subject and scored below 33 per cent in another are also eligible for the remedial examination.
The second examination is also open to students who have already passed. They can use it to improve their marks in up to three subjects. When preparing the final result, RBSE will count the higher of the two scores in each subject, so students who attempt improvement will keep their better marks.
