Freedom- Freedom of Thought, Freedom of Expression and Freedom of Innovation for our students and faculty. The School takes pride in presenting its unique and noble Philosophy for a better tomorrow.

Located in one of the most prominent metros of Southern India, Cochin is heralded as ‘The Queen of the Arabian Sea’, and is a cultural hotspot with many historic treasures. The characteristic features of many famous monuments are from the influence of the British, Portuguese, Dutch and many other world orders.

This school has been started with the sole objective of creating a new breed of young architects who are fully committed to the societal needs of the day, who will fully honour the sustainable commitment and who will have the ability to change the way the world thinks and behaves, by creating a better and more responsible environment, especially to house the billions, who presently only have the sky as a roof above them. How can we create this new breed of architects who will be social scientists, with deep concern for our degrading environment? Is the present educational system, especially in architectural studies, preparing those young boys and girls to achieve such responsible positions of the future? The five years of education in Architecture- what percentage of it is focused on making a young boy or girl into a useful architect? It is these questions that persisted in my mind, right from the time I completed my architectural studies, to this day, watching and experiencing the output of young boys and girls coming out of most of the schools in our country. Are we teaching the students to enable them to earn a degree and eke out a mere living or inculcating in them an awarness and responsibiltiy towards the society and the environment and how they can contribute towards its betterment, which will improve and for which our future generations would be grateful? I think we will have to agree that education and learning are for life and not simply for living. ASADI proposes to provide a totally different approach to architectural education in achieving the above goal for preparing graduates in architecture who are ready and responsible architects commited to doing good for the society. Towards this end, we have incorporated very many knew methodologies in architectural education like, integration of verticals and horizontals from year One, adopting to the Gurukula system of education, learning from the masters, uncovering and enhancing the inborn creativity in the students by greater freedom of thought, hands on training and such like. So friends, be a part of this new philosophy, this new initiative and the noble thought for a better world.

ASADI offer a Five year Bachelor Degree in Architecture. During this period we expose them to the History of Art and Architecture, to Designing and Drafting, to freehand Sketching and Computer Aided Designs, to Structural Design, other Building Services and to the Construction of Buildings, and also to Maths, Sociology and Art and their applications in Architecture.

The course is imparted through the ancient system of Gurukula, where individual attention is assured and each student will have a single “Mentor ‘’ all through his Education at ASADI.

ASADI strongly believe that each aspiring Architect needs to be moulded in the manner he himself looks forward to. We in our school propose to attach great emphasis on this aspect, thus ensuring that every student who passes out from our institution will be a proponent of his own school of thought.

We also truly believe that Architectural Education cannot be a Subject that can just be taught in an enclosed classroom. Architecture, rather, needs to be experienced.

ASADI’s initiative would be to create such Architectural experience, rather than just teaching in a class room.

The objectives of this programme are:

  • To provide high quality educational opportunity for graduates in Architecture,
  • To ensure that our graduates are fully versed in sustainable design principles, and possess the bility to undertake rigorous analysis of their building design proposals
  • To be able to turn architectural concept designs into fully documented and realizable building structures
  • To train our graduates in life-cycle analysis, to support their designs with credible estimates of performance
  • To ensure that our graduates possess an ethical, socially aware, and a responsible approach to their practice of Architecture;

Successful completion of the Bachelor of Architecture Course will make the students eligible to receive their B’Arch degree from M.G University and be a member of the India Council of Architects
