The opulent banquet of Hotel Amari in Bangkok set the perfect stage for the 4th Chapter of the Asia Education Conclave (AEC) and Asian Education Awards, where more than 200 exceptional educators, institutions, and organizations from across the globe assembled to celebrate the transformative power of education on 9th November, 2024.
Conceptualized by Prof. Dr. Sanjib Chakraborty, Founder & Chairman, AEC and a distinguished edupreneur & learning and development expert, with the dedicated support from Ms. Bidisha Das, Event Director, Asia Education Conclave, this event has become a hallmark of excellence in the academic world. With a vision to foster collaboration, innovation, and empowerment among educators and institutions, Asia Education Conclave serves as a unifying global community of educators, trainers, and institutions committed to fostering collaboration, innovation, and professional growth in education. Its mission revolves around empowering educators to revolutionize teaching practices and create meaningful learning experiences.
The day commenced with a vivid cultural performance by Thai children, known as the ‘Smart Kids,’ who mesmerized the audience with the Prae-Wa-Ga-la-sin Silk Dance. This stunning display of artistry paid homage to the intricate traditions of Praewa silk and the cultural richness of Thailand’s Ga-la-sin Province. The performance underscored the importance of integrating cultural appreciation into education, setting a vibrant tone for the event.
Following this, Prof. Dr. Sanjib Neil Chakraborty, Founder-Chairman of the Asia Education Conclave, delivered an inspiring keynote address. A highly respected academician with dual doctorates, extensive expertise in curriculum development, and certifications in learning and development, Dr. Chakraborty emphasized the role of education in addressing global challenges and creating interconnected communities.
The success of the 4th Chapter of the Asia Education Conclave and Asian Education Awards was made possible through the generous support and collaboration of its esteemed sponsoring organizations Asian College of Teachers (ACT), East Bridge University (EBU), Techno India Group, International Education Accreditation Council (IEAC) and Asia Education Digest. Asian College of Teachers (ACT), a leader in teacher training and education management, brought its vast expertise in fostering global teaching excellence hand-in-hand with East Bridge University (EBU), renowned for its focus on international education and innovative programs, contributed significantly to the event’s academic rigor. The Techno India Group, one of India’s largest educational conglomerates, lent its robust legacy of empowering learners through cutting-edge educational practices. The International Education Accreditation Council (IEAC), a global authority in education accreditation, added depth and credibility to the event’s vision of quality assurance. Adding to these efforts was Asia Education Digest, a platform dedicated to spotlighting transformative educational practices and fostering thought leadership across the sector. Together, these patrons exemplified a shared commitment to advancing education and making the conclave a milestone in global academic collaboration.
Highlights of the day were the Edutalk sessions, where thought leaders shared insights on pertinent topics in education. Global academic expert, Dr. Janat Blackmon from Canada spoke passionately about standardizing education to meet global benchmarks of curriculum. Veteran academician from the USA, Dr. Margaret Davitt Maughan’s talk explored the importance of redefining the core curriculum to harmonize traditional classical education principles with the demands of 21st-century skills for a holistic learning experience. Meanwhile, educational expert, Dr. Satyam Roychowdhury from India shared his vision of ‘Edupreneurship as a Tool for Economic Development, exploring how education-focused startups can significantly boost local economies and drive transformative change. These discussions reflected the event’s commitment to advancing innovative and inclusive educational practices.
The event celebrated the exceptional contributions of both individual educators and educational institutions, highlighting their transformative impact on learners’ lives. The awardees represented a diverse spectrum of excellence, including teachers who have revolutionized classroom practices, trainers who have redefined professional development and leaders who have steered institutions toward innovation and inclusivity. Educational organizations and institutions were also recognized for their ground-breaking initiatives in curriculum design, technology integration, and fostering equitable access to quality education. These honours served not only as a validation of their efforts but also as an inspiration for the global education community to continue striving for excellence and innovation.
