MIET runs three very prominent programmes in the fields of Computer Science, Data Analysis and Artificial Intelligence. As all the programs are affiliated to AKTU, the Institute follows the regular B.Tech Curriculum of the University. But besides following this curriculum, the Institute arranges special PDP sessions and also the students are made to attend special Industrial training at designated Training Institutes to enhance their employability skills.
Consisting of trained and experienced individuals heading the parade as the onboard faculty members at MIET, not only are the students made to stay in-sync with the changing times, but even the faculty members are motivated to stay upgraded. Through a calculated sequence of development procedures, the faculty members attend various lecture practices, Group Discussion Provocation, Thoughtful Questions, Cooperative Groups, Modeling, Double-loop Feedback, Climate Setting, Fostering Learner Responsibility.
“It is a matter of privilege to see that MIET has state of the art infrastructure which is absolutely conducive to teaching and learning process to the benefit of the students”, shared – Atul Mangal, the Chairman. Continuing on his above statement he shared – “All the classrooms are ICT enabled equipped with LCD projectors, wifi enabled campus with reprographic facilities. There are a sufficient number of systems on every desk equipped with proper audio video facilities to facilitate teachings during emergencies, especially in a situation of on-line classes which happened during Covid time”. Through a brief conversation with the Chairman he spoke about how the Institute has ensured that the learning process for the students is never hampered and imparts value, irrespective of the situation outside.
Tomorrow-oriented Technical Hotspot
Mangalmay Institute of Engineering And Technology takes all necessary steps to promote research in its academic curriculum through a well structured and designed Research Promotion Committee. The committee is governed as per the guidelines of the well drafted manual in which various incentives are encapsulated and announced for every researcher. It is a commitment that the institute will always corroborate its academics with the research promotion by involving themselves in writing research papers and getting them presented and published in reputed national and international journals. Nevertheless, the institute has announced a policy for heavy incentives for filing and publishing patents and copyrights. In the influence of this policy, in the previous years, patents were published and research papers were also presented and published in the highly reputed research seminars.
MIET has a well defined and structured Placement policy and guidelines. The placement cell round the year is involved in developing the relationship with the industry as per the course specialization of the programme. Time and again students are exposed to the industry through various kinds of industry visits and interactions with the industry executives. Besides, industry experts are invited in numbers to deliver the talks and share their experience to the students to their benefit. Not only this, various internship programmes are in force in which different kinds of dissertation projects, capstone projects and research projects are the part of it. The Institute has many MOUs with the industry to avail different kinds of facilities and services for the mutual benefits of each other.
MIET puts all out efforts to promote entrepreneurship amongst the students and faculty. The institute has a dedicated separate policy in the name of Incubation and Entrepreneurship Policy. There is a specific division for Incubation and Entrepreneurship in which the MSME, commercial and economical tiny and medium commercial projects are invited to give a boost to the competence of the stakeholders.
