The engineering institution reported that the average compensation packages for the 2024 class of the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay grew by 7.7% as a result of “robust” employment growth.
The school, which placed 1,475 students as of the end of June, stated that despite the “subdued global economy” and the conflict in Ukraine had an influence on overseas recruiters, the “job scenario remains optimistic.”
The average compensation packages rose from ₹21.82 lakh to ₹23.5 lakh in the previous year. IIT Bombay did, however, also report that ten students were paid between ₹4 lakh and ₹6 lakh, the lowest amount for one of the best engineering schools in the nation.
