Canada has experienced a dramatic 60 per cent decrease in international student arrivals between January and October 2025 compared to the same period in 2024. According to data released by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC), the number of incoming students dropped by 1,53,820, highlighting the significant downturn. Similarly, the country reported a 48 per cent decline in temporary foreign workers, representing a reduction of 1,69,435 individuals under the temporary workers category.
