To combat the threat of “dummy schools,” the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) surprised 27 schools in Rajasthan and the nation’s capital on Tuesday, according to top authorities.

The action was taken six months after the board revoked 20 schools’ affiliation for admitting fictitious pupils and unqualified applicants. “The purpose of these inspections was to make sure that the board-affiliated schools are closely following the guidelines and regulations established by CBSE. 27 teams, each consisting of a principal from a school connected with the CBSE and an officer, conducted the inspections, according to CBSE Secretary Himanshu Gupta.
