Due to heavy rainfall and cold weather in the region, all schools in Ghaziabad district, Uttar Pradesh, will remain closed for students in Classes 1 to 8 from December 28 to 30, 2024. The District Magistrate announced the decision to prioritize students’ safety and well-being amid adverse weather conditions. The closure applies to schools under the UP Board, CBSE, ICSE, and other boards.

For students in Classes 9 and above, classes cannot commence before 9:00 AM during this period. This precaution aims to shield them from the severe early morning cold and anticipated heavy rainfall.
