Madhya Pradesh schools are adjusting their academic schedules for students with modified timings. Schools that typically operate in the morning will now commence classes at 10 am until January 20 due to prevailing cold wave conditions in the state and across northern India.
For those schools that already start at 10:30 am, there will be no change in their operating hours. However, examinations scheduled for students in Class 6 to 12 during this period will proceed according to the previously announced timetable.
Meanwhile, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh, and Delhi have taken the step to close schools in response to the decrease in temperature. The school education department in Madhya Pradesh, through a post, officially announced the alteration of timings for all state-run and state-aided schools, stating, “In light of the cold wave outbreak in the state, the School Education Department has adjusted the school timings until January 20. All schools in the morning shift will commence classes from 10 am.”
