Atishi Marlena, Delhi’s Education Minister, has directed officials to formulate a hybrid learning strategy for schools. The aim is to ensure that classes remain unaffected by adverse weather conditions such as heat waves and fog. According to an official announcement, this involves integrating the Delhi Model Virtual Schools (DMVS) program with the traditional physical school model implemented by the Delhi government.

Schooling in Delhi often faces disruptions due to adverse weather like summer heat waves and winter fog. Atishi stated, “Through DMVS, we will transform all Delhi government schools into a hybrid model, protecting our children’s education from the unpredictable weather conditions.”

The Delhi government, guided by the minister, is planning to implement a hybrid learning environment in all schools through the DMVS initiative to safeguard students’ education from weather-related disruptions.

She further mentioned, “For children who may face challenges in reaching school, the Delhi government is extending quality education to them through DMVS.”

Despite the foggy and cold weather, Delhi schools have resumed in-person classes for all grades. As of January 15, 2024, students from Delhi government schools, government-aided institutions, and recognized private schools, including those in nursery, kindergarten, and primary classes, have returned to their respective schools in the physical mode.
