Dr. Satheeshchandra’s leadership is built on a solid foundation of scientific inquiry and teaching excellence. With a Ph.D. in Physics and over three decades of teaching experience, he has been a mentor to thousands of students, instilling in them a rigorous scientific temper. His work in material science and radiation physics has been published in numerous national and international journals, ensuring that the SDM legacy remains grounded in contemporary research and academic integrity.
Transformative Leadership at SDM Ujire
Before assuming his role as Secretary of the Society, Dr. Satheeshchandra served as the Principal of SDM College (Autonomous), Ujire. During his tenure, he spearheaded the implementation of the Choice Based Credit System (CBCS) and introduced several industry-aligned vocational courses. Under his guidance, the college maintained its high standing in NAAC accreditations, consistently securing ‘A’ grades and being recognized as a “College with Potential for Excellence” by the UGC.
Operational Oversight and Society Governance
In his current role as Secretary, Dr. Satheeshchandra operates as a strategic bridge between the visionary goals of the President, Dr. D. Veerendra Heggade, and the daily operations of 56 institutions. He ensures that the society’s core values of discipline, duty, and excellence are uniform across all campuses, from primary schools to professional medical colleges.
