Free college education for Girls from low-income families in Haryana

Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar made a significant announcement, declaring free education for girls in both government and private colleges within the state.

This initiative extends to families with an annual income not exceeding Rs 1.80 lakh.

GOVERNMENT WOULD COVER HALF OF THE COLLEGE FEES

Furthermore, the state government has committed to subsidising half of college fees for girls belonging to families with an income falling between Rs 1.80 lakh and Rs 3 lakh.

The Haryana government also will cover the fees for private colleges, where applicable.

Additionally, Khattar revealed the decision to elevate Samalkha from a municipality to a municipal council. Khattar further revealed a development plan for the residents of Samalkha, unveiling intentions to create two sectors, each encompassing 100 acres, in areas where land is accessible within Samalkha.

He also brought attention to the government’s accomplishments since 2014, emphasising the dedication to eradicating corruption, lowering crime rates, and eliminating caste-based politics, according to the statement.

Khattar emphasised the state’s attractiveness for investment, with a focus on areas such as education, health, security, self-respect, self-reliance, service, and good governance.
