The University of (DU) distributed 24,869 seats across a range of undergraduate programs on Sunday in the second round of seat allocations for the 2024–25 academic year. This comes after a noteworthy initial round in which 65,775 applicants verified their enrollment.

Even though there are only 6,100 seats left out of the 71,600 authorized seats, the university has allotted more seats because it believes that many students won’t take the seats that have been assigned to them.

“We saw that almost 35,000 pupils in the first round refused to take the seats that were assigned to them. In order to guarantee that every seat is optimally filled and that courses can begin on August 29, we’re assigning extra seats in the second round in light of this trend, DU Dean of Admission Haneet Gandhi stated.
