Gujarat and Punjab Lead in Implementing Three-Language Policy

Gujarat and Punjab have emerged as the leading states in implementing the three-language policy, with over 95% of schools adhering to the framework, according to data presented by Union Minister of State for Education Jayant Chaudhary in Parliament. The data reveals that 97.6% of schools in Gujarat and 96.2% in Punjab offer three languages, followed by Sikkim at 89.2%. Gujarat has mandated the teaching of Gujarati in schools, while Punjab has made Punjabi compulsory.
