India’s pursuit of hosting the 2036 Olympics has advanced significantly, with officials from the Indian Olympic Association (IOA) and experts from various sectors convening in Gujarat for a crucial four-day event. Organized in partnership with the Union Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, this gathering aims to formulate strategies and innovative economic models for developing sustainable sports infrastructure, positioning India as a formidable candidate for the prestigious global event.

The urgency to introduce the bill was heightened following a National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT) ruling in the Go First case, which imposed a moratorium preventing lessors from reclaiming aircraft. This decision led many global lessors to view India as a high-risk jurisdiction for aircraft leasing.
