India has launched a new program to give fifty Quad scholarships to students across the Indo-Pacific region, each valued USD 500,000.
Declared in the Wilmington Declaration during the fourth in-person Quad Summit, these scholarships will allow students to attend a four-year undergraduate engineering degree at a technical university financed by the Government of India.
The Quad Leaders’ Summit was held on Saturday in Wilmington, Delaware, the hometown of President Joe Biden.
Prime Ministers Fumio Kishida of Japan, Anthony Albanese of Australia, and Narendra Modi of India were there.
“India is happy to announce a new program that will give fifty Quad scholarships, totaling USD 500,000, to students from the Indo-Pacific region so they may enroll in a four-year undergraduate engineering study at a technical college supported by the Government of India.
