According to UNESCO, science in the 21st century is dynamic, collaborative, and diverse, serving as a powerful tool to tackle global challenges beyond laboratories. This year marks the 10th International Day of Women and Girls in Science, celebrated under the theme “Unpacking STEM Careers: Her Voice in Science.”
Observed annually on February 11, this day is recognized by the United Nations to promote full and equal access to and participation of women in STEM fields.
The foundation for this observance was laid on March 14, 2011, when the Commission on the Status of Women, during its 55th session, approved a report outlining agreed conclusions on the involvement of women and girls in education, training, science, and technology.
