Karnataka’s School Education and Literacy Department has directed all schools in the state, including private unaided schools, to celebrate Kannada Rajyotsava on November 1.
The department’s circular makes the celebration compulsory. It has drawn objections and caused confusion among school managements, because November 1 falls on a Sunday this year.
