The pass rate for Pre-University (PU) exams in Karnataka has fallen by 11.99% this year. State Education Minister Madhu Bangarappa explained that no general grace marks were awarded, and the exams were streamed live for added transparency. On Tuesday, the Karnataka School Examination and Assessment Board (KSEAB) revealed the PU exam results, which can be accessed on karresults.nic.in. Out of 637,805 students who appeared for the exams, 468,439 successfully passed. The overall pass percentage for 2024 was 81.15%.
Minister Bangarappa emphasized that while he refrained from comparing this year’s results with those of previous years, the exams were conducted with strict adherence to rules, ensuring fairness and minimizing malpractice. He also noted that the live streaming of the exams contributed to the process’s transparency, affirming that the current administration carried out the exams with the utmost seriousness.
