A new arrangement between the Karnataka government and the Azim Premji Foundation would see students in government schools throughout the state get eggs six days a week as part of the state’s midday meal program. The goal of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), which was signed on Saturday, is to improve the midday meal program’s nutritional content over the following three years.
According to a statement obtained by news agency PTI, the foundation stated, “An alternative high nutrition supplement will be provided for those students who do not consume eggs because of cultural preferences.”
