Ministry of Health reduces qualifying cut-off by 21.692 percentile for NEET MDS

The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for Master of Dental Surgery (NEET MDS) 2024 qualifying cut-off % has been formally lowered by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW). The qualifying percentile has been decreased in all categories (General, SC, ST, OBC, and UR-PWD) by 21.692 points. The goal of this modification is to guarantee that more seats are occupied during the next MDS counseling procedure.

The notification dated September 17, 2024, states that there have been substantial modifications to the NEET MDS 2024 Revised Cut-Off.

Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) and the General category now have a new qualifying percentile of 28.308, down from the previous 50 percentile. Likewise, the new cut-off for persons with disabilities (PWD) falling under the SC, ST, and OBC categories is 18.308, which is a decrease from the previous 40 percentile. The previous 45 percentile was replaced with a new cut-off of 23.308 for the UR-PWD category.
