On February 6, 2024, Prime Minister Narendra Modi officially inaugurated the permanent campus of the National Institute of Technology (NIT) and dedicated it to the nation. The newly constructed facility encompasses a tutorial complex, departmental complex, seminar complex, administrative complex, hostels, health center, staff quarters, amenity center, sports ground, and other essential utilities, aiming to meet the diverse needs of the students, faculty, and staff of the institute.
In addition to this, Prime Minister Modi is set to participate in the Viksit Bharat, Viksit Goa 2047 program, where he will also unveil the permanent campus of the National Institute of Technology Goa. Emphasizing the focus on achieving ‘aatmanirbharta’ (self-reliance) in energy requirements, the Prime Minister’s Office announced the India Energy Week 2024, scheduled to take place in Goa from February 6 to 9.
