The intensifying cold wave in Noida has led the District Magistrate to mandate the closure of all schools for classes up to 8th grade, irrespective of the board. Schools across state boards, CBSE, ICSE, and others will remain closed from January 2 until further notice. This decision has been taken in response to the severe cold and dense fog enveloping the region.

In the letter, Panwar quotes District Magistrate Manish Kumar Verma, stating that the cold has been steadily intensifying over the past few days. Considering this, the administration noted that children attending school in the morning could face difficulties.

The administration warned that any school found violating the orders would face strict action. The directive will remain in effect until further notice from the District Magistrate.
