The Patna District Administration has announced the suspension of academic activities for students up to Class 8 in all private and government schools until January 11, 2025, citing ongoing cold weather and low temperatures. The order was issued by the District Magistrate of Patna.
For students in Classes 9 and above, schools will remain operational with revised timings from 9:00 AM to 3:30 PM. However, activities related to board examinations have been excluded from these restrictions, as mentioned in the directive.
The official notice stated, “To ensure children’s health and safety during the severe cold, the District Magistrate of Patna has prohibited educational activities up to Class 8 in schools, Anganwadi centres, and preschools until January 11. For classes above Class 8, teaching hours have been restricted to 9:00 AM to 3:30 PM.”
