His academic foundation was established through his undergraduate studies at VMS Dental College, Salem affiliated to MGR Medical University, Chennai, followed by a postgraduate degree from Bapuji Dental College, Davangere, affiliated with Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Karnataka.
Beyond formal education, his development was significantly shaped by extensive clinical exposure. Immersed in real-world healthcare settings, he cultivated the practical acumen and patient-centered approach essential for effective dental care delivery.
Driven by a strong inclination toward advanced learning, Dr. Kurian pursued further credentials in implant Prosthodontics, earning both a Fellowship and Master Fellowship from the International Congress of Oral Implantologists (ICOI), USA.
Journey towards Mar Baselios Dental College
As an Academician he has worked as Vice Principal, Professor and HOD for 15 years before joining Mar Baselios Dental College. Serving in multiple key roles of IDA Malanadu such as President, Chairman of Council of Dental Education (CDE) and Council on Dental Health (CDH) and Secretary for 2 years. IDA Malanadu branch gave him a well-rounded perspective on organizational function and the evolving demands of the profession. Additionally, his five-year involvement as an Executive Council Member of the Indian Prosthodontic Society (Kerala Chapter) further broadened his perspective and reinforced his ability to navigate strategic responsibilities effectively.

As the Principal

Under his stewardship, Mar Baselios Dental College (MBDC) received approval for MDS seat enhancement in four specialties, significantly strengthening its postgraduate training capabilities.
